This was my costume for Auroracon2008 here in Anchorage!
The statues are -real-, there's two more of them, and they're permanent fixtures in downtown Anchorage. They were too perfect a backdrop that I just couldn't make up.
The suit fell into my lap in Germany for the most part. The buttons/hair charms are brass-leaf painted sculpey and glass; the Fridays are made from Halloween ping-pong eyeballs, eviscerated flocked rubber tarantulas, and air-drying clay, repainted. (there were around 10 of them initially; many of them were given away at the con, I still have two, and some went to friends/family.) The lot of them cost about 15$ total to make.
