Some personal reasons, some just argh artists block, some "distracted by classes" - I really am trying to get back to doing artwork on a more regular basis, but haven't really been doing well at it. Will be trying to work on that >.>; thou at least until I get some degree of "feeling comfortable with it again", anything I do is going to be pretty random, since I'm sorta stuck with "whatever I can get to hold still on the page" occasionally.

In 2003, I had no idea what fanfiction, fanart, fandoms, fan-communities, or ANY of that craziness was. I hadn't been the least bit exposed to the concept of fans-paying-homage-online. Then, because I was a little 12-year-old gamer and curious, I was googling if there'd ever be a "Sly 2," and instead of finding any actual info, I found a crazy site called fanfiction.net. I totally didn't get the concept of what fanfiction even meant, but somehow google linked me to the Sly Cooper section. And, apparently, this crazy little story written by you. I can't say I remember much about it since it's been six years, but I remember it being fantastic. And I know for a fact it was the first piece of fandom I was ever exposed to. And, for the sake of grandeur, it was probably the singular reason I started writing and drawing. I started writing and drawing fanart and fanfiction, sure, and it wasnt Sly Cooper for very long (although InFamous has me on a Sucker Punch kick lately and brought that old flame back up, hahaha) but then I developed a love of English and art that has led me down the path to where I am now which is an English major.
So like I said, I know were total strangers, but I figured why not let you know when something as small as a fanfiction you wrote over half a decade ago steered my life to where it is todaybecause it exposed me to writing enough to develop the skills needed to carry it on through college. So ultimately, I just really wanted to thank you. Really genuinely and sincerely. And hopefully without seeming creepy. A thousand times thank you.
